London's drive for a cleaner conference city..

During a meeting in London today we were pleased to be taking a ride in one of London’s newest electric taxis, all part of a major Transport For London initiative to make the capital a cleaner, healthier city.

What initiative?

Well, the Mayor of London declared that all new taxi services selling into London from January this year had to be zero emissions capable. This should ensure that around 9,000 of London’s 21,000 taxis are running on electric by the end of 2020, cutting NOx emissions from the taxi sector by a massive 45 per cent!

There is hope that by 2023 almost all black cabs will be zero emissions capable.
